Community Bonded by Forest Commons

An existing lot with a mature grove of conifers and understory was preserved through careful layout of six detached homes designed for a cottage community north of Seattle. The project's transitional aesthetic took influence from 19th century farm dwellings built by Scandinavian homesteaders, combined with warm finishes and textures from Nordic and Southeast Asian modern influences. Innovative low impact development site design techniques, sustainable finishes, and innovative detailing were recognized by Seattle Magazine and AIA Seattle.
